It may be the time for you to share your knowledge and experience with new instructors. And there is always room for growth and continuing education as an experienced PADI Pro.
This course will fine-tune your knowledge and skills in dive theory, knowledge development presentations, confined and open water presentations. You will take an active role in a full PADI IDC as the assistant to the Course Director.
WHY?
As a PADI Staff Instructor, you will authorized to:
- Independently teach and certify PADI Assistant Instructors (at PADI Five Star Dive Centers or PADI Five Star Dive Resorts),
- Conduct IDC training segments while the Course Director is available on premises for consultation,
- Assist with training during instructor-level continuing education programs.
COURSE PREREQUISITES
- Master Scuba Diver Trainer
- Emergency First Response Instructor
- Agree to use the PADI System and components in their entirety.
COURSE CONTENT
KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT:
This section is completed with classroom sessions. It focuses on building instructor development techniques. In this section, you will learn evaluation criteria for presentation and teaching techniques of instructor candidates.
PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS:
This section includes:
- Teaching in confined water,
- Knowledge Development presentations (classroom presentations),
- Evaluating instructor candidates in classroom, confined water and open water,
- Assisting full IDC or conducting Assistant Instructor course successfully.
