Who doesn't want people to know CPR and first aid? You can be the one to teach them! When you become an Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor, you can teach these important skills and help people learn first aid while having fun.
In EFR Instructor course, you will learn the standards of the courses you will teach and how to teach them effectively. This course will provide the valuable tools to help you with motivating your students, creating the perfect learning environment, assessing student knowledge and skills, and mastering the scenario-based sessions.
WHY?
When you become an EFR Instructor, you will be authorized to teach Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and Emergency First Response Secondary Care (First Aid) courses and EFR Care for Children course. Also this course will train you on how to effectively teach participant to use an AED (Automated External Defibrilator) and Emergency Oxygen, and to respond to choking people. This course (and the license you receive at the end of the course) is an exit requirement for PADI Instructor Examination (IE).
COURSE PREREQUISITES
- Completion of EFR Primary and Secondary Care course within the past 24 months.
- Minimum age of 18.
CONTENT
KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT and SKILLS:
Knowledge development section includes EFR course standards and efficient teaching techniques. Candidates can complete this section and the topics regarding Human Physiology with independent study. Teaching EFR skills and conducting scenarios are practiced in the classroom and the candidates will learn to demonstrate skills in instructor level and to guide students effectively.
