Instructor candidates who successfully complete our Instructor Development Course (IDC), attend to PADI's Instructor Examination conducted by impartial PADI Examiners to earn PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor rating.
In this examination, you will take 7 exams in the following fields:
- Knowledge development presentation
- Skill Circuit (Demonstrating 5 skills in confined water)
- Confined Water presentation
- Open Water presentation
- Written exams in 5 dive teory topics (Physics, Physiology, Equipment, General Skills and Environment, Decompression Theory and Planners)
- Written exam on PADI Standards
- Open Water Rescue Assessment. Candidates who are successful in all 7 exams earn the Instructor rating.

EXAMINATION EXPENSES
In addition to the PADI IDC price, candidates will have the following expenses:
- PADI Instructor Examination fee (For 2017 IE fee is 543 €)
- Travel expenses to and from the exam location
- Accomodation and meals in exam location
- Instructor Application fee and EFR Instructor Application fee are paid directly to PADI after successfully completing the exam.
During the exam, all candidates should have their own original PADI Training Materials, PADI Instructor Manual and RDP Table and eRDPmL.
