Tec Deep Diver program contains 3 subcourses which allow students to progress in stages. Depending on your time and qualifications, you can complete 3 subcourses separately or complete them consecutively and earn Tec Deep Diver certification at the end of the course.
SUBCOURSE 1: TEC 40 DIVER
This course invites you to a new diving world: Technical Diving. You can start your technical diving journey within recreational diving limits, experience the challenges this new world and see if this type of diving suits you or not. In this course, you can explore tec equipment and tec diving practices with your instructor.
If you want to take a wary step towards this world, you should consider this course. This course will teach you knowledge and skills you need for a technical dive without exceeding recreational limits. It helps you to progress in your own pace and comfort level. And if you don't have the time and budget to complete the overall course, you can still start from somewhere and become a Tec 40 Diver in a short time!
WHY?
Tec 40 Diver certification will qualify you to use decompression software and dive computers to plan and make decompression dives not deeper than 40 meters/ 130 feet, to use a single cylinder of decompression gas with up to 50 percent oxygen (EANx50). Also, in this course, you will learn tec diving procedures, equipment requirements, tec diving risks and emergency management.
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Deco cylinder and "oxygen clean" regulator (provided without additional cost by our dive center)
- BCD with D-rings or Tec Harness and Wings with double cylinders and tec configured regulator(s) (or a single cylinder with a dual outlet valve) (provided without additional cost by our dive center)
- Reel and lift bag
Other required equipment may vary depending on diving conditions and are not listed here, please contact us for further information.
TEC 40 PREREQUISITES
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Have a minimum of 30 logged dives, of which at least 10 dives were made with enriched air nitrox deeper than 18 meters/60 feet.
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, PADI Enriched Air Diver and PADI Deep Diver certifications or qualifying certifications from other training organizations (If not certified as Deep Diver, showing proof of at least 10 dives to 30 meters/100 feet is also accepted.)

- By using decompression software, plan a decompression dive within Tec 40 limits including gas requirements, potential emergencies, and realistic solutions.
- By using decompression software and working with a team, plan two separate decompression dives within Tec 40 limits.
TRAINING DIVES:
This course contains 1 confined, 2 no-stop and 1 decompression dives.
PRICE:
Subcourse Price = 250 €*
* This price includes certification fee, pool entrance fee (if the confined water dive conducted in the pool), rental fees of tec equipment and excludes expenses needed for open water training.
ADDITIONAL COSTS:
Required open water dives are not included in the course price. Students can plan their trips and join us for the dives, but we recommend to travel together as a team. For the students who will travel with us, dive trip prices are paid separately. (Check our dive trip prices for more info)
SUBCOURSE 2: TEC 45 DIVER
If you want to experience tec diving depths, become a Tec 45 Diver. This course will teach you dive deeper and with complete tec diving kit while expanding your knowledge and improving your skills.
If you liked what you experienced in Tec40 Diver course, you will love Tec 45. This course will qualify you to plan and make accelerated no-stop or decompression dives until 45 meters/145 feet and to use single decompression gas of EANx or oxygen.
WHY?
In addition to what you have learned in Tec40 Diver course, this course will develop the knowledge and skills you need to dive until 45 meters. Also, using the complete tec diving equipment and using pure oxygen as a deco gas are taught in this course.
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Deco cylinder and "oxygen clean" regulator (provided without additional cost by our dive center)
- Tec Harness and Wings with double cylinders and tec configured regulators (provided without additional cost by our dive center)
- Reel and lift bag
Other required equipment may vary depending on diving conditions and are not listed here, please contact us for further information.
COURSE PREREQUISITES
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Have a minimum of 50 logged dives, of which at least 12 dives were made with enriched air nitrox deeper than 18 meters/60 feet and at least 6 dives were made deeper than 30 meters/100 feet.
- PADI Rescue Diver and Tec 40 Diver certifications or qualifying certifications from other training organizations (If not certified as Rescue Diver, proof of training in CPR and First Aid within the previous two years is required.)
COURSE CONTENT
KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT:
- Equipment in depth
- Equipment Issue Discussions and Philosophies
- Gas Planning
- Turn Around Points and Environmental Variables
- Team Diving
- Accelerated Decos and Deep Decos
- Decompressing in Currents
PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS:
In this section, there are 3 practical applications:
- Working in a team, rig gear so that the equipment conforms with the standardized technical rigging philosophy and with any environmental-specific requirements provided by the instructor.
- Plan a hypothetical technical dive with a single gas switch and with no fewer than three decompression stops including gas requirements, turn points, potential emergencies, and realistic solutions.
- As a team, compare the resulting calculations with the same dive as calculated by desktop decompression software.
